“We have all seen how powerful the written word can be in our lives. The truth is even more evident when a child’s life has been torn with abuse. These books have offered a new and gentler world to these children.”
— Diana C. Lucas, Executive Director of The Family Violence Program, Inc. of Pitt County, North Carolina

What We Do

The New Worlds Through Literature Program provides a vehicle through which individuals, parents, groups, or corporations can give a library. We provide a library that will facilitate cognitive and moral skill sets in early childhood and young adulthood, particularly contemplation, through deep reading, creating a new world of contemplative thinkers. Additionally, another purpose of the New Worlds Through Literature Library is the empowerment of youth through virtues education.

Libraries are where we house thoughts. Having access to positive thoughts is an imperative for children in any society.

Surprisingly, in our developed world, access to certain important things remains problematic. At New Worlds Through Literature, we believe in increasing access to materials for skill development. The New Worlds Through Literature library provides easy access to books where a child can practice the skill of reading. Many children in impoverished situations do not own a single book or have access to a library. New Worlds Through Literature libraries can be placed anywhere for access.
